Little Helper

I have never liked doing dishes, so I love it when I get some help. This is my little helper.

Christmas Dresses Photo Shoot

*Disclaimer: "I wanted this blog to be like the journal and scrapbooking I have never done. Well, It is definitely heading that way!! But the way I figure, I haven't written in my journal for over 17 years and I haven't scrapbooked for about 2 years, not blogging for 5 months is nothing!!!

This was my attempt at a photo shoot of the girls in their Christmas dresses. Norah had a hard time cooperating. Maren is 8 1/2, Alcy 4 1/2 and Norah 10 months old.

My goofy girls.

Sweets for the Sweet!

*Disclaimer: "I wanted this blog to be like the journal and scrapbooking I have never done. Well, It is definitely heading that way!! But the way I figure, I haven't written in my journal for over 17 years and I haven't scrapbooked for about 18 months, not blogging for 2 1/2 months is nothing!!!

Norah has a sweet tooth. She enjoyed her marshmallow trees that she got for Christmas.

She really likes to lick the beaters when I make something. I think this was the only picture I took on New Year's Eve. We actually had Jana and Cody + 4 kids, Steve and Katie + 2 kids and Us + 3 kids over for food and games. We even stayed up until 2 a.m.. The next day was killer!!!

All I want for Christmas is..........

HIVES!!!!!

Poor Alcy!!! She had blotches all over her face and her body. We still don't know what caused it.

Merry Christmas

Wow!! I think Santa spilled his sleigh at our house. We had a really good Christmas.
Our "10 foot tree"

Alcy and her jewel box

Norah was hungry and so she snacked on the cheerios while we opened presents.

Maren scored from Santa. She got a mp3 player and a "real" digital camera. She is getting so big.

Alcy got a dollhouse and a "Hannah Ontana" doll.

We had a very nice Christmas and are very thankful for everything we received.

Christmas Cookies

*Disclaimer: "I wanted this blog to be like the journal and scrapbooking I have never done. Well, It is definitely heading that way!! But the way I figure, I haven't written in my journal for over 17 years and I haven't scrapbooked for about 18 months, not blogging for 2 1/2 months is nothing!!!

This year for Christmas Eve day we decided to be creative and make cookies. (I despise making cookies...the mess, the mess and the mess!!!) But the girls had a lot of fun decorating the cookies.

Alcy had a lot of fun making a mess.... I mean decorating cookies.

Maren was very artistic with her cookies.

....and Norah had fun eating the cookies. What a mess!

(I know, I know... Halloween aprons? It's the only aprons they have and I didn't want to get their clothes dirty!!!)

Waterskiing anyone?

*Disclaimer: "I wanted this blog to be like the journal and scrapbooking I have never done. Well, It is definitely heading that way!! But the way I figure, I haven't written in my journal for over 17 years and I haven't scrapbooked for about 18 months, not blogging for 3 months is nothing!!!

Norah is almost 9 months old here. I thought it looked like she was waterskiing. She would climb up on the bouncer and stand up and start bouncing.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, where art thou?

*warning: very long post ahead!!!

The day after Thanksgiving we went on our annual pilgrimage to find the perfect Christmas Tree. Did we want a Charlie Brown? A corner tree? A closet tree? No, we wanted a GIANT tree! Well we searched and searched and I think we ended up coming back to the very first one we saw. It ended up being over 10 ft. tall.

My Dad and Chubbs

Maybe he's not so bad after all?

Beginning the long trek back to the car.

Shake, Shake, Shake your tree?

This is our new tree stand. Last year after our tree fell 4 times and 2 different tree stands, we ended up chucking our tree off the deck and putting up our little scrawny fake one.

Norah, again!!!

Norah had alot of fun with the water in the new tree stand.
